Villamartin Plaza is a couple of minutes walk from the villas. 40 bars and restaurants. Restaurants include English, Italian, Indian, Chinese, French and German. There are 2 Irish bars, 2 karaoke bars, a sports bar, a pool bar and bowling alley.

Club Hipico Horseriding Stables are located to the rear of the development. Continue along road in front of PanoramaGolf proceeding away from Villamartin Plaza in direction of San Miguel. Turn right at end of road and then immediate right is the road leading to the stables. Tel: 0034 96 597 1537

Torrevieja - The large resort town of Torrevieja has a large marina with numerous shops, bars, restaurants and discothèques. The Friday street market is the largest outdoor market in Southern Spain. There is an aqua park, go-carting and many other attractions.

Further inland, past the orange and lemon groves is the city of Elche, the largest producer of Palm trees in Europe. Why not also visit the Mar Manor mud baths, Fortuna roman site & hot springs, and the mountain villa of Guadalest with its castle courtyard. Guadalest has been described as one of the most attractive hill towns in the whole of Spain.

Not far from Guadalest are the Fonts D'Algar waterfalls (pictured left) with crystal clear water and plunging waterfalls. The drive is approx one hour 30 minutes from the villa.

There is a tourist information centre on the promenade in Torrevieja. They will provide a free local map and further details on places to visit in the area.

Cinema - The IMF multi-screen cinema complex, next to Carrefour Hypermarket on the N322, Torrevieja North, screens original version English films. More info from IMF. Telephone - 96 570 54 14.

Beaches

Playa la Zenia - Nearest beach to the villa, about 2Km. Beach bar and large restaurant overlooking beach and sea. The Beach bars at La Zenia are open during the evening and have themed nights. There is a Flamenca Dancing show on Sundays between 9 - 11pm. A nice place to relax at night watching the waves on the beach.

Playa Flamenca - First beach north of La Zenia. 

Cabo Roig - First beach south..

Playa Mil Palmeras - Highly recommended. 10 mins South of La Zenia Beach.
